Land use/land cover classification
Aim
Work Package 2 aims to carry out land use/land cover (LULC) classification or the years 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020 in the study area.
Outputs
- Creating band composites and mosaics of Landsat images in ArcGIS 10.8.
- Selecting training areas for pixel-based classification approaches and applying the Maximum Likelihood Classifier (MLC) algorithm.Assessing the accuracy of classified maps.
- Deriving LULC maps from satellite images for the years 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020.
